Review: KronnerBurger.

Slowly but surely Oakland is becoming a hot spot for restaurants. Of course there’s no comparison to the San Francisco dining scene but every time I try a new joint in my hometown I’m pleasantly surprised.

KronnerBurger is a super casual American restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, with tasty salads and burgers

Inside KronnerBurger.

Wedge Salad: Iceberg Lettuce with Bacon, Watermelon Radishes, and Point Reyes Blue Cheese (8/10).

Onion Rings with Calabrian Chili Mayonnaise (7/10).

KronnerBurger: Dry Aged Beef Patty with Cheddar Mayo, Lettuce, Onion, and Pickles with French Fries (7.5/10).

Patty Melt: Dry Aged Beef Patty with Confit Onions, Hot Mustard, and Melted Cheese (8/10).

For tasty no fuss kind of food, KronnerBurger is the place for you. We started off with a wedge salad, one of my all time favorites. Super crisp iceberg lettuce with crunchy watermelon radishes, porky bacon, and creamy Point Reyes blue cheese, can’t go wrong with that. The onion rings were extremely crispy but the accompanying Calabrian chili mayonnaise needed more heat. The burger was simple yet delicious but could have used more seasoning. My favorite of the dishes was probably the patty melt because of all the sweet caramelized onions and gooey melted cheese! Everything was really yummy so overall I’d rate KronnerBurger at a 7.5/10.
