San Miniato, a cute countryside town located 40 minutes by train outside of Florence, is known for its truffle festival. Every November, the city hosts this fair where fresh white and black truffles are sold. Besides truffles, the festival has numerous stands selling everything from olive oil, Pecorino cheeses, honey, salumi, bread, chocolate, cakes, and much more. Continue reading →

Alba.

The quaint town of Alba is located in northern Italy in the Piedmont region. Every November the city becomes alive with tourists all coming for one reason and one reason only…truffles. Some of the best white truffles in the world are found growing here! Tommaso and I decided to head up north from Florence to check out the truffle festival for ourselves. Continue reading →
