Not only was this the 50th Super Bowl but San Francisco was the hosting city! This past weekend, thousands of people flew in from across the country to celebrate the event.
Organizers set up a closed off area called “Super Bowl City” near the Embarcadero with various food/alcohol tents and a stage. On Friday night, there was a OneRepublic concert and Saturday night Alicia Keys performed! Since these events were free, there were tons of people along the Embarcadero. So many celebrities were seen in San Francisco this past weekend, attending various events and performing at many venues.
The actual Super Bowl took place at the new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, about an hour south of San Francisco, where the North Carolina Panthers played against the Denver Broncos (Broncos were victorious). Of course, one of the best parts of the Super Bowl is the food! We hosted a Super Bowl party at my house and I spent all afternoon eating and drinking, perhaps a little too much.
