Same Same but Different.

As you already know, I love to travel. During my second year living in Europe, my friend Sara and I decided to pack our bags and do a three week adventure in Asia. I have been to Japan over ten times in my life since my mother is originally from Japan but I had never gone anywhere else! We decided to spend Christmas abroad and were excited to ring in the New Year somewhere exotic. We decided to go to Hong Kong for five days and spent the remaining two weeks in Thailand. Of course we were slightly anxious about traveling somewhere so outside of our comfort zones but at the same time we were thrilled!

After spending a few days in Hong Kong we were off to Thailand, first stop, Bangkok. Arriving in Bangkok was slightly chaotic with buses, cars, and mopeds passing by every street I turned. It was overwhelming to say the least. We spent four days here exploring the city without a clue on where to go or what to see.

My travels to Hong Kong and Thailand were one of my most fun experiences in my life but was also quite exhausting. I had never traveled continuously for such a long period of time! However, I’m counting the days until I can go back to Thailand to see more of what this country has to offer.
