San Francisco is a city filled with some serious foodies. As soon as a new hip restaurant opens up, it’s almost impossible to snatch a reservation there. Well, I just happened to score a dinner reservation at The Progress, the sister restaurant of State Bird Provisions which is literally located right next door (you can read my review here). Review: 1760.
I’ve been curious but slightly hesitant to try 1760, a New American cuisine restaurant located on Polk Street in San Francisco, because I’ve heard mixed reviews about the place. I was initially intrigued to try 1760 because it’s the sister restaurant of the fine dining Italian establishment, Acquerello (you can read my review here), in San Francisco where I’ve dined twice and absolutely loved it. Review: State Bird Provisions.
State Bird Provisions has been the hotspot in San Francisco since their opening back in 2012 and earned a Michelin star in 2014. State Bird Provisions, a New American/Californian cuisine restaurant, is so popular that they are booked for two months straight! Therefore, getting a reservation here is almost impossible but the restaurant does keep a portion of available seats open for walk-ins. Continue reading

I also started a food journal where I would jot down ideas of food I wanted to create with sketches and descriptions. My strength in cooking is obviously Italian cuisine since I have been studying it for three years. However, due to my upbringing I tend to have a Californian/New American twist on all my dishes. This quaint farm-to-table restaurant provides a tasting menu as the only dining option. Dishes are tweaked daily depending on the freshest seasonal ingredients from their farm up in the Santa Cruz mountains. Continue reading
