Review: Yuet Lee.

Cheap, tasty, and fast. Yuet Lee is one of those iconic restaurants in San Francisco’s Chinatown that’s open all day even late night.

As a child I went to Yuet Lee all the time but it’s been ages since my last visit. Their menu is  huge so choosing dishes can be quite difficult. We decided to order a little bit of everything including some of their signature items.

Inside Yuet Lee.

Mongolian Beef with Onions (8/10).

Vegetable Chow Mein (7/10).

Peking Spareribs with Sweet and Sour Sauce (7.5/10).

Salt and Pepper Fried Calamari (7/10).

Shrimp Fried Rice (7.5/10).

Pea Sprouts with Garlic (8/10).

Yuet Lee might not have the best Chinese food but it will definitely satisfy your craving. First of all the food comes out so fast so if you’re in a hurry or starving, you’re in luck! Everything we ate was pretty tasty, nothing amazing but solid food. My favorite dishes were the Mongolian beef (super tender and flavorful meat with onions, chili, and crispy fried rice noodles), the Peking spareribs (delicious porky goodness), and the sautéed pea sprouts with garlic.

Overall, Yuet Lee serves no frills kind of Chinese food that’s quick and tasty so my rating is a 7/10.
